Despite being incarcerated, Suge Knight is refusing to let his voice be silenced as he gears up to launch his own podcast, "Collect Calls With Suge Knight." TMZ Hip Hop obtained an exclusive preview of the podcast's introduction, a joint venture between Suge Knight and Breakbeat Media CEO and The Source magazine co-founder, Dave Mays. Reportedly, they have already recorded five episodes, each lasting half an hour, set to debut officially on Halloween '23. Surprisingly, prison staff have given their approval for the podcast.
In terms of content, "Collect Calls With Suge Knight" promises to delve deep into the world of hip hop. Suge Knight will openly discuss various aspects of the hip hop industry, responding to the numerous artists and pundits who have used his name for publicity. Additionally, he plans to elaborate on his perspective regarding Snoop Dogg's ownership of the Death Row brand.
Given Suge Knight's extensive history in the industry, from interactions with Master P and Wack 100 to Warren G and Akon, no one is off limits. However, the podcast won't be solely about controversies. Suge intends to share his experiences, both positive and negative, with the younger generation, offering valuable insights. He aims to connect them with seasoned artists and address audience questions.
BreakBeat plans to release podcast episodes weekly, with audio versions available on Thursdays and video versions on Fridays across major platforms. A sneak peek of the first conversation is scheduled to be released on October 24th.
