Lavar Ball addressed a controversial moment involving ESPN host Molly Qerim that resulted in reports of him being banned from ESPN shows. He denied being banned and clarified his allegedly inappropriate remark, stating it was not intended in the manner it was interpreted. Ball said the comment was taken out of context and that he was not interested in Qerim whatsoever. Furthermore, he claimed that Qerim's ex-husband, Jalen Rose, was not concerned about the incident as they laughed about it afterward. Despite the backlash, Ball displayed indifference towards the situation, pointing out that he has a wife and he didn't need to apologize because he didn't intend to flirt with Qerim. He also dismissed accusations made by another reporter, Kristine Leahy, alluding to him intimidating her.
