Benny The Butcher has seen success as part of the Griselda collective and on the solo tip. Now, the New York emcee has given his take on people who critique the music, aiming his sight at music critics and fans who feel they can occupy that space.
Via social media, Benny said, “Stop tryna always give ya’ll opinion 'cause you n***** is not Stephen A. Smith. Respectfully though. It’s like, enjoy the music. Motherf***** don’t enjoy the music no more. They just critique the music.”
From there, Benny dived into what made him comment. “The people that you critiquing, you gotta realize, a large percent of them got here without your opinion. Like respectfully, don’t take this the wrong way, but I get online and I see just people critiquing s***. Saying what they like and don’t like,” said the “’97 Hov” rapper.
Benny concluded, “Enough of that bulls*** man. Get back to enjoying the music man.” Watch above.
