Vlad and DJ Akademiks discussed their mutual dislike for Marc Lamont Hill, labeling him as a ‘flop.’ Vlad highlighted that he had invited Hill onto his platform in the past, having a largely friendly yet debate-oriented conversation with him, which obtained plenty of views. However, Hill, he noted, has been negatively speaking about him for the past few years, most recently on Van Lathan's podcast. Vlad and Akademiks further stated that Hill had not been extraordinarily successful in his media engagements, referring to him as a “journeyman” and arguing that his voice is only amplified thanks to the platform he is currently given and not on his personal merit. Vlad even sarcastically remarked that Hill's only gig right now is hosting 'Basketball Wives' reunion shows.
