Joaquin "Jack" Garcia, a former FBI agent who infiltrated the Mafia, shared his life story during his sit-down with VladTV. Born in Cuba in 1952, Garcia was raised in the Bronx after his father fled Cuba due to political unrest. Garcia followed a year later, during the Cuban Revolution. He worked as an undercover FBI agent for 26 years (from 1980 to 2006), during which he spent two and a half years within the Gambino crime family. His promising career was cut short when he was pulled from the Gambino case under mysterious circumstances. In 2008, Garcia published a memoir based on his experiences. From his early memories of Cuba to his experiences as a Cuban immigrant in New York, Garcia offers a glimpse into the world of a man who found himself simultaneously inhabiting various cultural thresholds.
