In this clip, Joaquin "Jack" Garcia detailed his journey of getting into the FBI. A self-confessed poor student, Jack relied on determination and faith to pass his exams, breaking down the stereotype that all FBI agents fit a certain mold. He also discussed the agency's lack of diversity in the 1980s, highlighting how it was primarily composed of White males. Jack also spent a significant part of his career working undercover on drug cases in various parts of the United States. At the height of the war on drugs in the 1980s, Jack was part of the team that seized significant amounts of drugs and arrested numerous criminals. Due to his fluency in Spanish and ability to adapt, Jack found himself working undercover across the country, even taking on cases pertaining to organized crime networks spanning multiple ethnicities. Despite retiring, Jack confessed he misses the adrenaline that undercover work provided.
