According to Lavar, his son’s journey has been affected by politics and an ankle injury that required surgery. With a repaired ankle, his son is performing better than ever, Lavar assured. Lavar criticized the Pistons’ organization, hinting that poor coaching and management contribute to unsuccessful player development. Lavar emphasized that coaches who fail to understand and utilize his sons’ skills correctly find themselves jobless.
