One of the individuals involved in the criminal gang known as Young Slime Life, along with rapper Young Thug, has entered a guilty plea in Fulton County on RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) charges. Derontae Bebee, also known as "Bee" or "B," accepted a plea deal resulting in a 15-year sentence, comprising 5 years in prison and 10 years of probation. This unexpected development leaves six defendants, including Young Thug (real name Jeffery Williams), to face trial in the YSL RICO case later this month.
Under the agreement, Bebee might be required to testify during the trial, although prosecutors have indicated they won't insist on his testimony. Bebee's attorney, Durante Partridge, emphasized the significance of the reduced sentence, suggesting it offered a chance for his client to turn his life around. Bebee, at 23, was reminded by Judge Ural Glanville to seize the opportunity for a fresh start, taking responsibility for his past actions.
Young Thug, along with 27 others, was initially charged with multiple violations of Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. While many co-defendants have accepted plea deals, Young Thug could face life in prison if found guilty on all counts. The YSL RICO trial is slated to commence on November 27.
