In a circulating video clip, Nigerian singer Burna Boy proudly showcased his deep affection for marijuana while emphasizing how insignificant $5 million is to him. In the video, Burna rapped, "Hustle make you no go fall off like Brymo, Just now I turn down Dubai money, $5m na small thing,/ Cos me I no dey like to dey go/ Where dey no gree me smoke Igbo," indicating his refusal to accept $5 million in Dubai because he values his freedom to smoke marijuana more.
The lyrics also served as a direct jab at Brymo, another Nigerian artist. It seems Brymo caught wind of Burna Boy's words and responded by calling him "foolish." Brymo had previously accused Burna Boy of plagiarism, claiming that two songs from Burna Boy's latest album, I Told Them..., namely "City Boys" and the title track, were inspired by the title track of Brymo's upcoming album, Macabre.
