Soulja Boy has issued an apology to J. Cole after a misunderstanding over J. Cole's comments regarding his music. Soulja Boy initially reacted strongly to J. Cole's admission that he had some "resistance" to Soulja Boy's music.
However, after an intervention with Nicki Minaj, Soulja Boy realized he had misunderstood J. Cole's comments. Minaj clarified that J. Cole was actually giving props to Soulja Boy and recognizing his role in keeping the music wave going. Soulja Boy quickly acknowledged his mistake and issued an apology to J. Cole.
In the apology posted on his X account, Soulja Boy stated that he had misunderstood J. Cole's intentions and admitted he was wrong. He also expressed his respect for J. Cole's work and apologized for the confusion caused by his initial reaction.

Soulja Boy called out J. Cole after a clip of the North Carolina rapper speaking about Big Draco went viral.
Cole appeared on Lil Yachty’s ‘A Safe Place’ podcast, and spoke about having “resistance” to certain music in the late 2000s. Cole noted that while he was in college, he hated Soulja Boy’s music, but ultimately went on to say he was being a hater because he would end up dancing to all the rapper’s songs at parties.
Since then, Soulja Boy reacted, saying, “Aye bruh, don’t speak on me @JColeNC.” He then said, “I’m not Lil Pump, Drake, or none of these rapper n*****. On God.” Take a look above.
