Finesse2Tymes recently made headlines after revealing that he was converting to Islam, writing in his Instagram Stories, "After this album, I’m converting to Muslim🤲🏽."
The announcement came with criticism from some, which the Memphis native later addressed. He commented on an Instagram post and addressed people making fun of him for referring to the religion as "Muslim" instead of Islam, writing, "Y’all always making fun and laughing when a person [is] trying to get [their] life together." He added, "If [you’re] struggling and wondering why, it’s because [you] look down on everybody and [you’re] still down yourself."
Finesse2Tymes continued, "[You] don’t get blessings having a sour heart, I’m graduating from the streets, I outgrew the old me, I’m seeking knowledge and wisdom more, financial literature, parenting skills, etc." You can read the message in full above.
