He said the couple had a lot in common, such as their passion for music. They quickly started living together, after which their financial situation progressively worsened due to Smith’s retirement from the NBA and a recent divorce. Despite the challenges, Smith proposed marriage because of their bond and trust. Smith, who has six children from prior relationships, and Kisha, with one child, have no plans for more children.
