The arrest occurred on May 24, 2022, after officers pulled over Dr. Adams as part of an investigation into a residential burglary.
The officers were taken aback when they found the drugs and learned about Dr. Adams' intended destination. He informed the police that he was on his way to the operating room, where a patient was waiting to undergo surgery.
