Alan Foster, co-founder of the Big Baller Brand, has filed a lawsuit against LaVar Ball, Tina Ball, LaMelo Ball, and PUMA, alleging he was cheated out of hundreds of millions of dollars. Foster claims that, during his tenure at BBB, he played a key role in developing Melo's brand, creating the "MB1" line for the Charlotte Hornets point guard and obtaining trademarks for it. Foster asserts that, in an effort to remove him from the company, LaVar created a second version of BBB, attempting to transfer Foster's trademarks to exclude him from the profits.
Additionally, Foster alleges that when Melo signed with PUMA, they infringed on his trademarks with the creation of the MB.01 signature shoe. Foster is seeking damages exceeding $200 million. This lawsuit follows a previous legal battle where Foster accused LaVar of using BBB funds for personal expenses. Foster was also sued by Lonzo Ball in 2019, claiming he defrauded the Balls of over $1.5 million.
