Kelly Oubre Jr. was recently moved to the Philadelphia 76ers after a massive trade that included James Harden. Oubre has been adjusting well to the team, but it seems his time in the city may have been put on pause as news surfaced noting the NBA player was hit by a car.
The 76ers issued a statement on the incident involving Oubre: “Kelly Oubre Jr. was a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle tonight in Center City, Philadelphia. He is currently in stable condition and being treated at a local hospital. We will share more information as it becomes available. Please join us in sending our best to Kelly And his family as he recovers from the incident.”
It was noted that Oubre was in stable condition after being hit by the vehicle while walking near his place of residence in downtown Philly. The Sixers went on to say Oubre will miss a significant amount of playing time to recover, and will be working closely with medical staff from the team.
