Former NBA athlete Joe Smith discussed his experience during the NBA draft in 1995, which pick he was predicted to be, and how it felt to be selected as the number one draft pick. Smith recalled the tense atmosphere in the green room with the top expected picks and the relief mixed with surprise after the Golden State Warriors chose him. Surrounded by his family members, the joy he saw on their faces made it an incredibly special moment. Smith's draft was deep in terms of talent, with players such as Kevin Garnett, Rasheed Wallace, and Jerry Stackhouse included. Following the draft, Smith discussed his first million-dollar deal, his prudent purchases, largely the houses and cars, and the financial considerations involved. He also touched on the ups and downs of his NBA career, including his fruitful stint at the Golden State Warriors before being traded.
