Joe Smith discussed his experiences playing with the Philadelphia 76ers alongside childhood friend Allen Iverson. Smith shared that playing with Iverson was fun and unique as they both shared the same dream and connection from their childhood. Vlad asked about Iverson’s relentless playing style, which Smith confirmed, adding Iverson played with the same intensity from childhood all through his NBA career. Smith also spoke about his time at the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he signed as a free agent. He talked about an under-the-table deal made without his involvement that landed him with an $80 million contract. Unfortunately, the deal caused controversy when it came out in court, resulting in Smith paying a penalty and leaving the team temporarily to join the Pistons. After the incident, he returned to the Timberwolves as he felt it was a good fit for his career.
