Jada Pinkett Smith recently sat down for an interview with The Breakfast Club, where she touched on her memoir, "Worthy," where she opened up about her separation from Will Smith. This led to Charlamagne asking Jada about whether their decision constituted an open relationship or not.
Around the 51-minute mark in the sit-down, Jada clarifies that their separation went beyond the conventional notions of an open relationship. In an open relationship, partners maintain an intimate connection while also engaging in relationships with other individuals. However, in the case of Jada and Will, they ceased all romantic involvement and were no longer relating to each other romantically. She explained that this distinction highlights the fundamental difference between maintaining an open relationship and completely ending the romantic aspect of a partnership.
During the discussion, Charlamagne also asked Jada about her choice to omit August Alsina's name from the book after speaking about their "entanglement" on her "Red Table Talk" show. Jada then revealed her desire to protect and respect August's privacy, and she emphasized that August has already endured enough. Jada then revealed that she's hopeful to heal from the situation in the future.
