DaBaby recently appeared on ‘Club Shay Shay’ and spoke to Shannon Sharpe about the past few years of his rap career. The rapper commented on an incident that found him taking a gun charge for his friend who was in a car with him when they got pulled over. Police found a gun in the whip, and the cops assumed the weapon belonged to the rapper. However, the gun was actually DaBaby’s friend.
The friend didn’t take the charge for the rapper, resulting in the rapper being arrested. While speaking to Sharpe about the incident, he noted he couldn’t even “stomach” being in the same space as his friend.
DaBaby said the incident was “left field” and “a lesson I needed to learn.” The rapper then said “ “I don’t regret anything that I done been through. It feels so good to be able to say that and mean it. I done probably said that before but I ain’t mean it ... I really feel like that’s a blessing in disguise at this point in my life and I just came to that realization in the past two weeks.” Watch above.
