Rod Wave has been trending since Boosie claimed that various artists, including Rod, have been sampling his music without crediting or compensating him.
Boosie threatened to take legal action against the artists, but Rod Wave told him it wasn't necessary because he'd "pull up" and give him the money. Now, Rod is denying that he has ever stolen any music. The "Great Gatsby" artist stated in a video posted to his Instagram Stories that he was paying homage and never claimed that his lyrics were original.
Rod then added that any song he's ever sampled or referenced has been cleared and paid for, and he went on to speak about being let down by various rappers that he looked up to. You can hear more above.
