Part 1: Vlad Tells Special Ed He's the 1st Rapper He Ever Interviewed in His Life

--------

In this clip, Special Ed reminisced about the late Notorious B.I.G.'s strong character and refusal to change his lyrics, at times leading to strained relationships. They also spoke about B.I.G.'s competitive spirit and how he would constantly be in a lyrical back-and-forth with other artists to outshine them. Furthermore, they discussed his loving relationship with his then-girlfriend, Faith Evans, and how it was a common sight for her to spend time with him in the studio, even in front of 15 people. The discussions about B.I.G. led to a broader debate about who was the greatest rapper, with Vlad favoring Biggie for his lyrical dexterity while acknowledging Tupac's emotional depth. Special Ed highlighted how both rappers were great in their own ways but felt that their untimely demise created a myth around them that might have been slightly exaggerated. The conversation also included Ed's grievances about not being properly rewarded for remakes of his songs by artists like Jill Scott, Rick Ross, and Shaq.
