During a recent sit-down with Shannon Sharpe, Ric Flair detailed the heartwrenching death of his son. Ric spoke about how his son was going to follow in his father's footsteps and become a wrestler, fulfilling his dream of continuing the family legacy.

Ric shares that he was devastated when he learned about his son's struggles with addiction. He had tried to get him the help he needed by taking him to rehab centers, but unfortunately, his son could not overcome his demons. Ric described the last near-fatal incident where his son's oxygen levels were dangerously low, but miraculously recovered. Ric admitted that he blames himself for not being able to save his son and admits to feeling like he failed as a father.

Throughout the conversation, Ric expressed his love and concern for his son, acknowledging that he was more of a friend than a father. He blames himself for not being stricter or making different choices that may have prevented his son's addiction from escalating. The guilt weighs heavily on Ric's heart, and he regrets not being able to save his son's life.

Despite his own health issues, Ric acknowledges that he never turned his back on his son. He remained supportive until the end, fighting for him even when other people advocated for tough love. Ric then explained that he finds solace in the fact that he was there for his son and gave him love and support until the very end.
