In this portion of the conversation with Vlad, The Game recounted an incident back in 2001 where he survived a near-fatal shooting. Known for his tactical approach while dealing drugs in the streets, he narrated how one lapse in judgment almost ended his life.
Ignoring the rule of shutting down operations after midnight, he fell into a trap on a night he was alone, resulting in a shooting. During a struggle with one of the intruders, he was shot in the chest, ankle, and stomach. Anticipating a fatal shot, he had mentally prepared for death when an unexpected reprieve came as the gunmen fled. Bleeding and left alone, he managed to dial 911 before passing out, only to wake up weeks later in a hospital. He reflected on his lack of fear during the incident, crediting his detached relationships and lack of familial obligations.
