Special Ed expressed his dismay at the violent passing of successful personalities within the black community, particularly in the music industry. He emphasized on the critical role these individuals played as leaders; guiding their communities and becoming beacons of success. The emcee expressed frustration over the growing violence among youth, worsening to the point of teenagers taking the lives of one another. Such behavior, he stated, was no longer a result of external influence but a self-destructive pattern within their own culture. ED stressed the importance of changing this narrative through his non-profit organization, Special ED Arts and Literacy. Vlad echoed these concerns, noting the noticeable number of losses in the music industry, particularly among rappers. He suggested that record labels could eventually face lawsuits from victims for promoting and marketing harmful lyrics.
