In a recent No Jumper interview, Sada Baby discusses his music-making approach and his thoughts on the industry. Despite being known for his inventive lyrics, he admits that he has yet to create an album representing his vision. While he acknowledges that he doesn't need to conform to mainstream pop hits or wear flashy outfits, he believes that his album should distinguish itself from his mixtapes.
The rapper prefers to stay busy and hustle for every last dollar. He shares that he has consistently had shows booked for the past several years, making it difficult for him to stay at home and focus on music. However, he also mentions earning a significant income from his Twitch streaming, which is more manageable at home.
Regarding his label situation, he is currently independent but has yet to rule out the idea of working with a label in the future. He questions labels' vision for specific artists, mainly drill rappers, who rap about controversial topics. He believes that sometimes labels sign artists without fully understanding their music, resulting in unhappy artists and wasted contracts.
Reflecting on his career, the rapper reveals that he has made millions for his label but hasn't seen much of that money himself. He credits his newfound independence with enabling him to have more control over his finances. With a catalog of thousands of unreleased songs, he feels motivated to continue making music and creating content. Watch above.
