Mark Cuban is reportedly in talks to sell a majority stake in the Dallas Mavericks to the Adelson family, known for their significant support of Donald Trump. The family, led by Miriam Adelson, is expected to acquire the Mavericks at a valuation around $3.5 billion. The Adelsons, particularly Sheldon Adelson before his death, were influential GOP donors, contributing substantially to Trump's campaigns.
The family recently sold about $2 billion worth of stock in Las Vegas Sands, with plans to use the proceeds to purchase a majority interest in a professional sports franchise, subject to league approvals. Cuban would retain control of basketball operations in the deal.
