Details of the custody battle between "Insecure" co-stars DomiNque Perry and Sarunas Jackson were revealed via RadarOnline, including DomiNque accusing Sarunas of choking her in front of their child.
This comes after DomiNque denied Sarunas' request for joint legal and physical custody of their child. She stated that his alleged "emotional volatility" impeded her attempt to foster a positive co-parenting relationship. DomiNque also claimed that she didn't live primarily in Los Angeles, and she planned to enroll their 5-year-old daughter in school in Texas, where the girl will be raised around DomiNque's family.
Sarunas responded to DomiNque's claims of "emotional volatility," stating, "It is unclear where [DomiNque’s] allegations of emotional volatility and intimidation are coming from. My family and I have always welcomed [DomiNque] with open arms, inviting her to family events and showing her love and support in more ways than one."
He added, "[DomiNque] has defamed my character to others, making them believe I am an absent father. Her negative communications with others, including to peers in our industry, regarding her opinions of me have made me fear for repercussions in my career."
This is when DomiNque claimed Sarunas was abusive toward her, writing, "I experienced emotional volatility, intimidation, bullying, undeserved stress, mental and physical abuse, controlling and narcissistic behavior, all over the past 5 plus years from Sarunas and his family."
DomiNque shared a story about Sarunas getting angry during an argument when he came to her home. After DomiNque told Sarunas, "You talk to your mother like that not me," he allegedly started choking her, but she says he let go when their daughter came in the room and witnessed the incident.
DomiNque added, "The choking on his behalf is the norm. He is violent with women. Afterwards there were several other times that he came to my apartment and would get angered for no serious reason and would start yelling at me. On one occasion I told him that if he didn’t stop raising his voice in my apartment he would need to leave or I would call the police, he responded by saying 'and then what?' Since this incident I’ve always tried to just get alone and keep the peace. I’ve been traumatized by these experiences and so much more."
Sarunas made headlines earlier this year after Keke Palmer's mother called him out for calling Keke "disgusting" for filing a restraining order on Sarunas' brother Darius for allegedly abusing Keke in her home. Keke's mother,S Sharon, claims that Sarunas knew that his brother was abusive.
Sharon stated, "For Sarunas Jackson to post on his Twitter the ridiculous stuff he’s posting when he knew his brother was abusive. I went to Sarunas over a year ago and told him that his brother was abusive to my daughter and he said, ‘I used to be like that too.’ What? So, he don’t get to act like he’s this special guy. No, you’re a f***boy and a part of the problem."
