Ashanti and Nelly sparked rumors of a pregnancy at his annual Black and White Ball in St. Louis over the weekend after a video surfaced of Nelly rubbing Ashanti's stomach.
Now, a source close to the couple has told Us Weekly that the two superstars are expecting a child together. If true, this will be Ashanti’s first child. Nelly, 49, shares daughter Chanelle, 29, and son Cornell Haynes III, 24, with Channetta Valentine.
Ashanti and Nelly have had a whirlwind romance after reconnecting in April after previously dating on and off from 2003 to 2013. Nelly confirmed they were officially back together in September, stating on Philo TV’s Boss Moves with Rasheeda, "Yeah, we cool again, " adding, "It wasn’t anything that I don’t think was planned."
Neither Ashanti nor Nelly have publicly confirmed the news.

Over the weekend, Nelly’s 11th Nelly’s Black and White Ball took over the Four Seasons Hotel in St. Louis with a host of celebrities. This year, the proceeds from the event went to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and to scholarships for Harris Stowe State University.
While on stage at the event, Nelly and his girlfriend Ashanti got the rumor mill churning on social media after he made a gesture that appeared to hint at Ashanti being pregnant. Nelly touched Ashanti's stomach several times as the crowd chanted, "Seal the deal!" Video of the incident quickly spread online, with people questioning if Ashanti was pregnant.
This comes after Nelly responded to a fan in November, who told Nelly, "Get her pregnant @nelly [laughing emoji] TONIGHT!!" Nelly then stated, "I’m on it" along with a salute emoji.
