Pete Rose shared memories of his first game with the Cincinnati Reds on April 8, 1963. Coming from Cincinnati himself, Rose described the thrill and nervousness of playing against the Pittsburgh Pirates, especially after his parents were invited onto the field. His various sources of pressure included the expectations placed on him due to the Reds' recent World Series appearance and his own rookie status.
