Hassan Campbell, who was part of the same projects where Afrika Bambaataa lived, reminisces about his challenging upbringing and his disturbing experiences with being abused. The neighborhood held a strong presence of Latino culture, with Hassan bearing the nickname Poppy. Hassan describes his family life as dysfunctional, with his mother facing health issues and his father being mostly absent. Hassan recounts horrific incidents of abuse, starting from around the age of five. Notably, he alludes to being assaulted by Afrika Bambaataa, whom he met at the age of 12.
