Snoop Dogg is one of the most recognizable people on the planet. However, the rapper revealed that once upon a time, his finances didn’t reflect that. Because of that, the legendary rapper, actor, and businessman considered filing for bankruptcy. However, his “pride” prevented him from taking that step.

While speaking about the topic to ‘Business Untitled,’ Snoop said, “There were times in my career where it got so bad my accountant was like, ‘We should just do bankruptcy.’ My pride got involved. F*** that. If I say bankruptcy then I look like I f***ed off everything.”

Snoop said his accountants named people who filed bankruptcy who were famous, which caused him to say, “None of them muthaf***as Black! You ain’t name nobody that look like me!”

The artist then called for financial literacy to be taught in schools and colleges, saying, “You got these athletes, you teaching them how to run routes, how to dunk, do interviews and convert into analysts after they finish their career; how about teaching them to be businessmen at the end of their career?”
