Recently, a photographer named Djamilla Cochran sued Cam’Ron. The photographer is the person who took the rapper’s iconic photo, where he sported a pink fur coat, pink fur hat, and matching pink flip phone.
Cochran sued Cam’Ron for using the photo on his merchandise without licensing the photo and going through the correct channels for the rights. The ‘It Is What It Is’ personality allegedly ignored numerous copyright infringement warnings and didn’t respond to the lawsuit initially.
As a result, a default judgment was awarded to Cochran, who is reportedly seeking to get $57,000, along with $10,000 in legal fees. Cochran also noted she wants to audit the Dipset Couture brand for sales of the picture so she can gain access to the profits. Stay tuned for more updates.
