Reggie Wright Jr. left Death Row in 2002, around the time rapper Left Eye passed. According to Wack100, Wright had a substantial cash flow, part of which he invested in a beauty salon. It seems rumors started to circulate about Wright's loyalty, prompting him to dissociate from any affiliations. Wright was the financial muscle behind the scenes, managing money flow and authorizing numerous projects. Following Wright's departure, Bob Gotti also left the company. Gotti, who was responsible for security, left when he was coerced into doing tasks outside his work-frame. Wright and Gotti's departures caused a decline in control at Death Row. A notable blow was delivered when the company was lost in a court case after Suge Knight's absence from proceedings, leading to Lydia Harris winning the case by default.
