In a recent conversation between Lil Yachty and QC CEOs Coach K and Pee, Lil Yachty reflected upon their initial experiences and challenges when they first joined the label.

Yachty explained that when he first joined the label, he was filled with excitement and eagerness, but he added that nobody knew the struggles he had overcome to get there. Yachty then spoke about dreaming of being part of QC when he was in high school.
Dreams and Inspiration:

After graduating high school, Yachty explained that he made a serious pursuit of a music career. With the unexpected help of his father, Lil Yachty finally met Coach K, and his dream of joining the label became a reality.

Being part of the label, Yachty recalled feeling like an outsider at times. He shared a story  of being excluded from a group photograph after being late for the shoot, which made him question his place within the label and the industry.

Lil Yachty also spoke about Quavo being mean to him in the beginning, stating, "It became like a friendly beef. It was like this thing of battling with me against all three Migos when it came to cars, when it came to jewelry, when it came to women, when it came to clothes, everything. Quavo got a new chain, I had to get a new chain. Offset got a new chain, I get a new chain. TakeOff get a new watch, I would go and get a new watch."

He added, "Skippa Da Flippa was the first person [to do a record with me] and he was the nicest person. Rich The Kid was cool, he showed love to me eventually. The most thing I remember was Quavo was mean as s***. Quavo was mean as hell, [but he] came around.

"I’ll never discredit Skippa Da Flippa and TakeOff. TakeOff, from the second he met me, was extremely nice and just welcoming with open arms. OG Maco, he didn’t really show much love either." Skip to the 37:00 mark above to hear the full conversation.
