Recently, producer and artist Daz Dillinger took to social media to ask Dr. Dre a question, pondering when he would receive his royalties for his work on Dr. Dre’s iconic hip-hop album ‘The Chronic.’
The album, released 31 years ago, sparked the careers of many artists who would contribute legendary moments in hip-hop outside of the project. Via Instagram, Daz posted the album cover for ‘The Chronic’ and added: “HAPPY 31st C DAY TO THE CHRONIC @drdre BUT WHEN CAN WE RECEIVE OUR ROYALTIES π°ARE YOU OR @interscope GONE ROBB US LIKE @deathrowrecords 2024 & THE N****S FROM THE PAST WHO RAN IT str8 Bitchez π₯F**EM π₯.”
From there, Daz said, “REMEMBER DAZ COPYRIGHT REVERSIONS LAW IZ FILED I WANT % not points π°π―SO YALL ON A TIME LIMIT 4MORE YRS TIL IT REVERTS BAC THEN ITS REALLY LIKE F***EM I AINT CLEARING SH** π°π°π°π°π°upππΎ IM COMINπ₯π₯π₯.” Take a look above.
