Legendary NBA player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is now in the hospital after he fell to the floor and broke his hip.
A representative for Jabbar—Deborah Morales, spoke to TMZ and said he was in attendance at an undisclosed show on Friday night. During that, the Lakers legend fell to the floor, shattering his hip in the process.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and took Jabbar to the hospital as a result. His rep went on to say the former star Lakers player was thankful and “deeply appreciative” of the help he was given from the Los Angeles Fire Department, along with the “amazing medical team and doctors at UCLA Hospital who are taking great care of” him.
