Reports surfaced noting that rapper NBA Youngboy has been issued a trial date for a federal gun charge he is facing.
Court documents revealed a judge in Louisiana gave counsel a notice of plans to begin the rapper’s trial in July 2024. A statement from the judge said, “Trial (jury) in this matter is hereby assigned for Monday, July 15, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. through Friday, July 25, 2024, in Courtroom 3 before Chief District Judge Shelly D. Dick. Pretrial Conference is set for Tuesday, June 26, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in chambers before Chief District Judge Shelly D. Dick.”
Previously, in 2020, the rapper and other people on the set of a music video he was shooting while in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, were arrested. Youngboy was charged with unlawful possession of an unregistered firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Stay tuned for more updates.
