A 48-year-old Los Angeles woman, Brenda Yanez, was arrested in connection with an organized retail theft ring that targeted various stores, including CVS, Sephora, Ulta Beauty, Rite Aid, Nordstrom, and the 99 Cents Only Store. The California Highway Patrol seized more than $1 million in stolen cosmetics during a bust. Yanez is facing charges of organized retail theft, grand theft, and possession of stolen property. The investigation revealed connections to a warehouse in Paramount and The Makeup Store on Whittier Boulevard. The seized items included stolen merchandise and tools used to remove anti-theft devices. The California Highway Patrol's Organized Retail Crime Task Force is actively working with partners and agencies to combat organized retail crime during the holiday season. The incident remains under investigation.
