Nicki Minaj recently released her ‘Pink Friday 2’ album, which features Lil Uzi Vert, Drake, J. Cole, Skillibeng, Lil Wayne, and more. While speaking to Funny Marco, Minaj revealed that she didn’t get all of the features she wanted on the project, saying one “artist” turned her down.
Minaj talked about the unnamed artist after Marco asked, “Has it ever happened where you wanted a feature and it didn’t happen?”
“On this album, there definitely was a feature that I wanted on a song called ‘Cow Girl,'” said Minaj. The rapper continued, “The person, at first, recorded it and sent it back. Then the person hit me one day and said they were in a ‘different era.’ I was like, ‘Oh, okay. So you tell me that months later.'”
The person’s team circled back to say they wanted to do the feature now that they were in that “era,” with Minaj saying, “‘OK. Let’s see.’ Then we got another few comments saying that they don’t really think I like them.” Watch above.
