Lil Rob was recently compared to Chicano hip-hop icon Jay-Z, an accolade he humbly deflected, stating he simply creates his music for his fans. Lil Rob also revealed some of the geographical challenges he encounters as a part of the California music scene. Notably, he shared experiences of hostility when performing in locations out of Southern California, including receiving threats and having bottles thrown at him on stage due to territorial issues. Even with these experiences, Lil Rob insists on maintaining a peace-centric mindset. He also explained he has curbed performances in certain areas due to potential safety issues for him and his fans. Despite these bumps in the road, Lil Rob keeps his focus on sharing his music with audiences, all while working to exemplify unity and good vibes in the industry.
