Two customers, Jamel Bernard Williams, 36, and Kayla Nicole Pyle, 34, from Charlotte, North Carolina, are facing charges for assaulting a Chipotle worker at an Indian Land location on December 10. The incident occurred after the employee informed Pyle of an additional charge for extra chicken in her order, leading to a verbal dispute.

The 20-year-old Chipotle employee chose to leave work early due to the disagreement. However, as she attempted to exit the restaurant, Williams rushed in from a side entrance and violently attacked her. The assault was captured on video, showing Williams pushing the worker to the floor, pulling her hair, and tossing her around while customers pleaded for him to stop. Pyle joined in the assault, striking the worker in the head.

Williams and Pyle fled the scene with a male juvenile, and the employee sought treatment for her injuries independently. The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time. Williams' hair found at the scene was submitted for analysis.

Deputies, with assistance from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, identified Williams and Pyle. Arrest warrants were issued for both on charges of Assault and Battery in the 1st Degree for Williams and Assault and Battery in the 2nd Degree for Pyle.

The incident took place in Indian Land, near the border of North Carolina and South Carolina, approximately 20 miles northwest of Charlotte. The Lancaster County Sheriff, Barry Faile, stated that the assault was unjustified, urging the suspects to turn themselves in and let the judicial system take its course.
