In 2023, a house in Henderson, Nevada, was raided by the Las Vegas Police Department. This event was the result of a reinvigorated investigation and part of a pre-indictment grand jury process. Greg Kading, revealed that while he was not surprised by the occurrence of the raid, he was taken aback by its timing. Kading had provided some information from a previous case to assist the police. The extent of the raid and subsequent investigation is said to depend on the tactics employed, with wiretaps and similar strategies being more costly. The raid resulted in the discovery of bullets and various Tupac-related items, including a CD found in a 1996 Black SS Impala that was suspected to have been used at the time of Tupac's death. Kading was not directly involved in the investigative work of this case.
