Hector Berrellez touched upon the serious drug issues in the US, notably in relation to meth, cocaine, and heroin, which come primarily from precursor chemicals supplied by China to Mexican cartels. Shawn questioned why the US hasn't become stricter with China. Hector responded that while it should be the role of US officials to engage and find solutions with China, the Chinese government does not seem interested in cooperating. Hector urged citizens to stop using drugs to avoid contributing to the issue.
Hector suggested if in power, he would start by closing the border, dealing with corruption in Mexico, educating citizens about drug dangers, and bolstering the Border Patrol. He also highlighted the crucial role of street agents who risk their lives daily on the job, calling them the "unsung heroes" of the war on drugs. Despite facing temptation himself due to financial struggles while conducting drug seizures, Hector maintained his honesty, immediately rejecting the idea of turning into one of the people he aimed to arrest.
