Greg Kading and Vlad talked about Keefe D's efforts to lower his bail and possibly get released on bond. If a judge dismisses attempts to dismiss Keefe's public statements as evidence, then a trial seems unavoidable, and the defendant might consider a plea deal. Such a deal might include accepting a life sentence while dropping possibilities of parole, gang involvement, or gun enhancement. Keefe D's state of health, including being overweight and having a past cancer diagnosis, raises the possible severity of a prison sentence at his age. However, Greg Kading contends that the defendant's claims they were made for entertainment do not necessarily negate their truth. Finally, Kading anticipates that if a plea deal is made, it'll likely involve a minimum 15-year prison sentence for murder.
