Katt Williams’ interview on ‘Club Shay Shay’ found him speaking about numerous comedians, including Rickey Smiley. Now, Smiley has reacted to Katt, noting he was disappointed at having to explain what he meant by saying he and Williams had originally reversed roles they played in ‘Friday After Next.’
Smiley said, “I had no reason to lie about that. They added that whole pimp twist to that character, which was actually a better decision and made it funnier. There was no way in the hell I could have executed that role like that, and I’m glad that they made that decision.“
“Personally, I liked the pimp role better, but the Santa Claus role was just perfect for me,” said the comedian. He also noted he and Katt spoke about that topic over a decade ago after running into each other in Atlanta. Smiley then claimed he and Williams even hugged each other after their convo.
