The incident occurred around 10 AM, with the worker firing shots in self-defense after the armed intruders threatened him. The shootout lasted about 20 seconds, resulting in the suspects fleeing the scene. The worker, who remains anonymous, explained seeing the suspects approach the store and immediately drew his nine-millimeter handgun. The suspects retaliated with around 20 shots, using illegal large-capacity magazines.
Despite the intense exchange, the worker's actions were deemed appropriate by Oakland police, who took his guns for investigation purposes.
