According to information filed Monday by the Broward State Attorney's Office, Kodak Black was charge with possession of oxycodone, not cocaine, from an incident on December 7 in Plantation, Florida.

Kodak was initially confronted by police after an officer spotted a black Bentley SUV parked in the roadway. When they looked inside the vehicle, officers saw Kodak asleep at the wheel. Inside, they found weed paraphernalia and weed residue.

Officers also claimed that Kodak's mouth was "full of white powder" and also saw "white rock like substances on the ground." After an initial test of the substance, officers stated that it came back positive for cocaine, but prosecutors said Monday that it was oxycodone.

Kodak had a similar arrest in 2022 after he was pulled over for the dark tint of his SUV. During a search, police found a small clear bag with 31 white tablets and almost $75,000 in cash. The tablets were later identified as oxycodone.
