Many artists end up in debt due to advance payments they have to recoup. On a different note, Boosie detailed his admiration for Vanilla Ice’s business acumen. Vanilla Ice smartly bought the rights to the song he sampled in his hit "Ice, Ice Baby," making a fortune from merely possessing the rights to both songs. He emphasized the importance of owning one's catalog and being serious about music, pointing out that the right revenue strategies could lead to lifelong financial benefits.
