Former NBA player Sebastian Telfair shed insights on his career transition from high school to the NBA. Securing an Adidas sneaker deal worth over $10 million before he even joined the NBA at just 19, Telfair said he was initially overwhelmed. Growing up without financial awareness, he found sudden wealth confusing and admitted he didn't understand the responsibility that came with it. The sports star, however, ensured his family benefited from his newfound wealth by buying his brother a car with his first paycheck. Telfair was the first NBA player under six feet to go from high school to NBA, joining the Portland Trailblazers, an experience he found overwhelming due to the team's poor performance. Reflecting on his career, Telfair remarks he had to adapt to a different role where he wasn't the star player in control.
