Pete Davidson recently spoke about Aretha Franklin’s funeral during his recent Netflix ‘Turbo Fonzarelli’ stand-up and talked about how he was embarrassed by his actions during the ceremony.
Davidson said, “I was so high I thought it’d be a good idea to go up to [Franklin’s] family and go, ‘Hey! I’m just here to pay my R-E-S-P-E-C-Ts.”
He continued, “I’m embarrassed I was out and about like that. That’s not cool.” While going on with his bit, Davidson said if Aretha Franklin was alive to see that incident play out, she would have told him, ‘” Hey! Who are you and what the f*** are you doing at my funeral?’”
